MoonCats is joining the cool kids as they get picked up by Sotheby’s. Co-Head of Digital Art at Sotheby’s tweeted that Sotheby’s is “committed to bringing the most historic and impactful NFT projects to a wider global audience. Mooncats are among the very first on-chain generative projects from 2017, just 1 month after CryptoPunks.” 👉 Read More
Sotheby’s is also bringing the first immersive NFT to appear in a major auction. Refik Anadol’s “Machine Hallucinations — Space : Metaverse” will be on auction from September 30th to October 4th. The artwork came to fruition after pondering whether telescopes that can see far beyond our capabilities could dream about the universe. Lots 2-7 will consist of AI generative data paintings and Lot 8 is an AI data sculpture “capturing the hidden mysteries of Mars’ surface through generative projection-mapping.” 👉 Read More
Lootlang is an entire language generated and stored on-chain, inspired by the Loot project. Word meaning is intentionally omitted for others to interpret. MetaFactory raised over $2.2 million (44.2 ETH) during MCON 2021 within 12 hours in an effort to bankroll all the amazing artists, contributors, community supporters in their organization. They have yet to fish out the details, timelines, and deployment of capital. 👉 Discover MetaFactor
PrimeDAO announced a successful seed round where they raised $2 million from LD Capital, Stratos, TokenInsight, and more. PrimeDAO, which started at the end of 2020, is focused on “researching and building next-generation coordination tools for decentralized finance.” 👉 Read More
