The Lens Network Has Arrived

Here's everything you need to know about Lens Protocol's transition from Polygon to zkSync.

gm Mint nation,

It's been a while since my last formal newsletter, and I appreciate your patience.

Between working on Bello and running more onchain experiments, I've been exploring the question of “what does it mean to go viral onchain?” and the role of onchain distribution.

In fact, I’m now the most collected podcaster in web3 thanks to my recent collaboration with Base.

This episode is approaching 50k mints spanning 44k+ unique collectors.

Pretty nuts.

In an effort further explore what it means to go viral onchain, I was fascinated to learn that Lens Protocol is pivoting off Polygon and announced it’s new network on the zkSync blockchain, or as they call it, the “Lens Network.”

I was very early to Lens and am a long time user, so to learn that they’re embracing more of Ethereum’s values was pretty exciting.

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of sitting down with the Lens Networks’ very own Stani Kulechov, founder and CEO of Avara, and Alex Gluchowski, Co-Founder & CEO of Matter Labs, the team behind the zkSync network.

Throughout our session, we cover:

  • The unique benefits of the Lens Network for oncahin creators.

  • How zkSync ensures user data control and ownership.

  • Exciting new monetization opportunities compared to traditional social media platforms.

  • Practical real-world use cases and the importance of cross-chain interoperability.

  • Future web3 social developments and their impact on the creator economy.

This episode is packed with insights that will help you understand the latest in web3 social and why they’re moving off of Polygon and onto zkSync.

I hope you guys enjoy our conversation.
